Hudson Track: Girls take second at UWRF
The Raider girls’ track and field team scored in every event, including placing three of the top six individuals in two events, on its way to a second place finish at the 8-team Border Battle Track and Field Meet last Friday at UW-River Falls Knowles Fieldhouse.

Hudson’s girls scored points in 10 of 15 events on their way to a second place finish at the 17-team All-American Indoor Track and Field Invitational last Saturday at UW-River Falls’ Knowles Fieldhouse.

On a day that saw 22 meet records either tied or broken, the Raider boys got a second place finish in the final event of the day to win the team title by a half-point over River Falls at the All-American Invitational last Saturday at UW-River Falls’ Knowles Fieldhouse.

Girls track team third at U of M meet
Rachel Anderson and Erin Wetzstein swept the top two spots in the 3200 meter run and Taylor Steffen took first in the shot put to lead the Raider girls’ track and field team to a third place finish at the 12-team University of Minnesota High School Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the U of M Fieldhouse in Minneapolis.

The Raider girls’ track and field team continued its hot start to the season by topping a field of 14 teams last Saturday to win the Large School Division at the Northern Badger Indoor Track and Field Classic at UW-Stout’s Johnson Fieldhouse in Menomonie.

Four Hudson High School senior student-athletes announced where they will be heading after graduation by signing national letters of intent on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the high school.

Hudson’s Kromer runs to state title
Hudson senior Ryan Kromer outran a field of 190 runners to win the Division 1 state title at the WIAA State Cross Country Championship Meet Saturday, Oct. 27, in Wisconsin Rapids. He completed the 5,000-meter course more than 10 seconds faster than his nearest competitor.
