Tom Nielsen gets CDPE training

Tom Nielsen of Coldwell Banker Burnet recently completed Certified Distressed Property Expert training to help finalize distressed property sales (short sales). One out of eight mortgages nationwide are distressed and properly handled can be successfully negotiated by a CDPE agent to finalize before foreclosure. Nielsen can be reached at (715) 381-4222.

First American Bank helps veterans

First American Bank of Hudson, 2424 Monetary Blvd. has selected Sew Much Comfort for this holiday season's Denim with a Cause charitable organization. The Bank created Denim with a Cause to raise money and awareness for charities and non-profit organizations. Every Friday employees can purchase the right to wear Denim (with a Cause) for a $5 donation. All proceeds will go to the chosen organization. Sew Much Comfort is a nationally recognized non-profit which provides adaptive clothing at no cost, to support the unique needs of our wounded service members from all branches of the military.

As part of the cause, the public is invited to donate new sweat pants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, boxer shorts and fleece fabric in three-yard minimum pieces. Monetary donations can be made via cash or by check made payable to Sew Much Comfort. The drive begins Friday, Nov. 27 and continues through Dec. 31. Associated Bank earns honor

Associated Bank was named the number one Small Business Administration (SBA) lender in Wisconsin for fiscal year 2009, according to a recent SBA report. Associated surpassed all other banks in number of loans originated with more than three times that of the second-highest lender. From Oct.1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2009, Associated Bank made 317 SBA 7(a) loans for a total value of more than $25 million. This is the fifth year in a row that Associated Bank has received the top lender honor, and the 10th time in 12 years. Nationally, Associated Bank moved to number 13 in the nation for SBA lending in fiscal 2009, up from number 23 in fiscal 2008. Associated Bank has branches in Hudson and is headquartered in Green Bay. Associated has approximately 300 banking offices serving an estimated 160 communities in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
