Historical Society's annual meet set for Oct. 24

The St. Croix County Historical Society has its annual Dinner Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Mama Maria’s Italian Restaurant in North Hudson. The meeting is open to the public and starts with a social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and a program.

The program will feature excerpts from “the History of Hudson” movie. After several years of production the movie project is nearing completion. From the early fur trade to the Hudson Toll Bridge, the movie explores many of the people and events that built the city of Hudson. 

The Hudson Daybreak Rotary and Xcel Energy provided funding for the movie project.

The dinner meeting cost is $25 per person. Guests can select either champagne chicken or an Italian sampler meal. Reservations are required by Monday, Oct. 21. RSVP to the Octagon House Museum at (715) 386-2654 with the number of attendees and your meal selection. Leave a message if no one is available. Advanced payment is required.
