HHS Stadium Raider open house postponed

The new Hudson High School Raider Stadium Open House scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 19 was postponed and will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, beginning with a celebration of Hudson athletes.

In the tradition of an Olympic style opening ceremony, all school and community athletic programs have been invited to march through the stadium. The Hudson High School Marching band will lead the stadium march. Following the march of athletes, a welcoming address will be made. The Hudson Marching Band will also perform their fall field show.

The celebration will end with a family movie shown on the new scoreboard video display. People are welcome to bring blankets and sit on the field to watch the movie. A"soft open" of the new concession stand will also take place.

A letter going out to Hudson School District parents stated that "We are regretfully delaying the community Raider Stadium Open House and celebration... Over the past several weeks, weather has not been on our side. We believe our highest priority is to focus our construction efforts on opening the High School for students on time and safely Thursday, Aug. 17."

If you have questions regarding our opening ceremony, please contact Tracy Habisch-Ahlin, Assistant Director of Community Relations at 715-377-3795.
