Instructional shooting clinic for women

The Hudson Rod, Gun, and Archery Club will sponsor two National Rifle Association's Women On Target instructional shooting clinics for women only on April 18 and 21. Register for either the Trap and Skeet clinic or the Pistol and Rifle clinic as both are taking place simultaneously.

Each clinic consists of two sessions. Attendees attend both Wednesday and Saturday. The first session is Wednesday, April 18 from 6-9 p.m. The second session is range day on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Trap and Skeet clinic will feature training in the safe handling of shotguns to help participants learn the fundamentals of shooting Clay Pigeons in a relaxing and fun-filled environment.

The Pistol and Rifle clinic will feature training in the safe handling of pistols and rifles to help participants learn the fundamentals of shooting in a relaxing and fun-filled environment.

According to the National Shooting Sports Association, women are the fastest growing segment of the shooting sports.

The cost of attendance is $35 per person. All necessary equipment will be provided by the club. Participants in the Trap and Skeet clinic are welcome to bring their own shotgun.
