Creative dramatics classes for students in grades 1-6 are scheduled for four Saturdays, April 5-26, at The Phipps Center for the Arts. Parents are invited to observe the final session.

  • Students in grades 1-3 meet from 10-11 a.m. for Beginning Creative Dramatics. The fee is $37.
  • Exploring the Actor Within for students in grades 4-6 is offered from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The fee is $49.

    Instructor Andrea Wheeler received her bachelor's degree in theater from Moorhead State University. She has taught classes and directed plays for Minnesota School District 833, the Woodbury Community Theatre, K&S Conservatory of Music and The Phipps.     Comedy explores weight issues

    "The Ghosts of Gym Teachers Past" is playing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22, at The Space, a Centre for Creativity, in New Richmond at 156 High St. The solo comedy, written and performed by Amy Salloway of Minneapolis, is about weight loss, "sweat and exercising your demons."
