Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Hudson, Wisconsin until 2:00pm Tuesday August 5, 2014 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of the Hudson City Hall located at 505 Third Street, Hudson, WI 54016 at 2:10 PM on the above date. Said bids to be for the furnishing of all labor and material for Well No. 3 Water Treatment Plant Upgrade.
Major components of the Work include:
In general, selective demolition of mechanical piping,
equipment and valves, selective demolition of electrical
equipment and panels. Renovation work includes
installation of new valves, piping, electrical equipment,
panels and standby generator, chemical feed pumps,
painting, and other correlated items.
Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) dated July 18, 2014.

Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, “BID FOR WELL NO.3 WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE”.
Pre-Bid Conference: A pre-Bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM CDST on Monday, July 28, 2014, in the Council Chambers of the Hudson City Hall located at 505 3rd Street, Hudson, WI 54016. A tour of the Well No. 3 Water Treatment Plant will follow after the conference ends at City Hall.
Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.
Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted to SEH in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards as determined by the State of Wisconsin, Department of Workforce Development Wage Rate Determination.
The City of Hudson Water Utility reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Hudson Water Utility.
