Schachtner defeats Jarchow in special election

Workforce Resource, Inc., on behalf of the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board and its Regional Youth Council, is soliciting applications for providers of service for economically disadvantaged youth in compliance with procurement requirements of the federal Workforce Investment Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the WI Department of Workforce Development. This solicitation covers the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Area consisting of Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties.

Youth services are provided in accordance with individual service strategies, to eligible youth who are selected and assessed by Workforce Resource, Inc. (WRI). Based on assessed need, appropriateness and availability of service, WRI must provide these youth access to the following program elements:

• Paid and Unpaid Work Experience

• Occupational Skill Training

• Tutoring, Study Skills Training and Instruction Leading to completion of secondary school including dropout prevention strategies

• Alternative Secondary School Services

• Supportive Services

• Adult Mentoring

• Follow-up Services

• Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling

• Leadership Development Activities

The purpose of this service registry is to provide a vendor listing from which Workforce Resource may select service providers based on qualifications, appropriateness, service accessibility, cost and performance. Services may be provided by qualified individuals, organizations or businesses on a cost or no cost basis. Respondents to this solicitation may be contacted for further information and may be asked to participate in further competitive processes in order to be selected as a service provider. In that actual selection is based on competitive, comparative analysis aligned with the specific needs of individual youth, inclusion in the registry provides no explicit or implied commitment to be selected as a service provider. Final selection is the purview of Workforce Resource, Inc., the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board and/or the Regional Youth Council.
