2013 Hudson Royalty Crowned
The annual Miss Hudson Pageant was held Wednesday night in the Hudson High School Auditorium. Eleven candidates vied for the honor of being royal ambassadors for the city of Hudson.
A panel of three judges selected court. Bethany Klanderman, daughter of Mark and Cheryl Klanderman was crowned Miss Hudson. Emily Holman, daughter of Ken and Rose Holman was the first princess crowned. Chelsea Bates, daughter of Ron and Paula Bates was the second princess crowned and Josie Gall the daughter of Greg and Renee Gall was the third princess crowned.
The court will reign for one year. Their first parade will the Booster Days Parade on Saturday.
Some version of the Miss Hudson Pageant has been held nearly annually since 1949, only missing three years in over six decades. The pageant was not held in 1952, 1953 or 1969.
