4-H collects food on Halloween

Rolling Hills 4-H Club will be trick-or-treating for the Hudson Food Shelf as a community service project on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Members from the club will be trick-or-treating at homes in downtown Hudson for non-perishable food items to contribute to the Hudson Food Shelf to help families during the fall and upcoming winter months.

The youth will be wearing costumes, but will also be wearing a button that identifies them as members of Rolling Hills 4-H Club trick-or-treating for the Food Shelf and will be out from 6-7 p.m.

County Market in Hudson is partnering with Rolling Hills to match any collections the club receives from trick-or-treating to donate to the Food Shelf.

This is part of the club's year-long community service initiative to participate is a community service event every month of this coming year.
