A simple cake with 80 candles was not going to cut it when it came to Fran Abbotts 80th birthday celebration this spring.

Instead, Abbott turned to her "bucket list" of things she wanted to do before she died and decided on a parachute jump with Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin.

Abbott didn't make the journey from thousands of feet above ground alone. She was accompanied by her five adult children and several grandchildren.

What happens when she turns 85 -- to be announced.
