Agent earns state award
Hudson Allstate Insurance agent Craig Hofland was awarded the 2007 Allstate new agent of the year for the state of Wisconsin. The award was presented to Hofland in Milwaukee at the 2008 Wisconsin territory kick-off banquet.
Exclusive Allstate agents in their first 18 months of business are eligible for the award. Hofland was selected from a group of 25 eligible agents in the state. Selection is based on growth, customer satisfaction and quality of business standards.
Hofland opened the Hudson office in October 2006. His team includes Heidi Jacobson, personal line sales producer, and Jay Vavra, agency personal financial representative.
"It is our competitive rates and innovative products that make my job easy," said Hofland. "Our agency is committed to building long-term face-to-face relationships with our clients to help protect their personal and financial assets."
Hofland has been a member of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce since opening his office, and Jacobson is a member of the Professional Women's Network. Hofland said being involved in the social community as well as the business community is an integral part of the agency's mission.
In August 2007 Hofland joined with Citizens State Bank to award a $1,000 scholarship to Emily Klanderman for her participation in the Safe Teen driving easy contest.
"We plan on making this an annual event," said Hofland.
He has also been a sponsor of the Chamber golf tournament, the Hudson Hot Air Affair and activities at Hudson and River Falls High Schools. The agency plans for 2008 include sponsoring Andy Jones Racing, a popular local stock car driver, who will be making appearances and signing autographs at local events including the spring business showcase and parades.
