The tournament was held June 11 and hosted over 130 golfers and supporters at White Eagle Golf Club. "Adding some flair to the already fierce competition, each golf cart offered a GPS map detailing the golf course, team tracking capabilities and most importantly, a leader board," Rich O'Connor, Foundation Board Chair and golfer at the tournament commented. This allowed teams to receive real time information listing top teams as the scores were entered.

"Teams could knock one another off the leader board in a moment's notice and gain some bragging rights until the next hole -- simply fantastic!"

Nick Hackworthy, tournament chair said "The Al Hein tournament is very important to our community. It takes several months to plan and we owe many thanks to the volunteer committee that worked tirelessly to solicit gifts from businesses in support of the event. We are fortunate to have so many people believe in our mission. That's why this tournament is successful every year."

The winner of the tournament was Piccadilly Valet from Minneapolis; and second place honors went to Mudge, Porter, Lundeen, & Seguin of Hudson. The winner of the 2012 Luther Auto Driving Range Challenge was Paul Meyer. The 2012 Al Hein Industry Competition winners included: Finance, Westconsin Credit Union; Legal, Mudge Porter Lundeen & Seguin S.C.; Medical, Hudson Physicians; Real Estate/Development/Construction, Anchor Real Estate Group; and Sales/Retail/Other, Picadilly Valet.

The tournament allows the community to come together to support the local hospital and raise funds to support care services such as cardiac rehabilitation, CPR and AED training, cancer care, healing arts, Life Assist home monitors, and much more.

Sponsors and the event included Andersen Corporation, Hudson Physicians, Regions/ HealthPartners, Erickson Oil, Corval Group and Luther Auto Group.
