MADISON - Hudson advanced all of its wrestlers through the first round of the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament Thursday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

Austin Koski exploded for a reversal throw after giving up an early takedown and it led to a 1:16 pinfall for him over Pulaski's Max Mijal at 145 pounds.

Down 2-1, the Raiders put forth an impressive spinning throw which put Hartford's Nick Hahn on his back at 160. While Hawksford did get the pin he was well on his way to a 17-6 major decision which was his 100th victory.

Derek Schindler scored his first takedown against Brookfield East's John LeClaire at 182 pounds with a fireman's carry. He used a variety of moves to continuously score points on LeClaire, eventually getting a pin at 4:59.

Eliot Motu closed out Hudson's first round with a 5-2 over Burlington's Koty Agnes. Motu picked up and put Agnes down hard on the mat for his first takedown and was in control the whole match.

Quarterfinal match-ups have Koski against Travis Smith (48-1) of Milwaukee Bradley Tech; Hawksford vs. Trsitan Luther (45-2) of Mt. Horeb/Barneveld; Schindler vs. Ayoola Olapo(46-2) of Menomonee Falls and Motu vs. Nick Gomez (17-1) of Ocnomowoc.
