Angela Stansbury, 60
Angela Stansbury, 60, of Clayton, formerly of Hudson, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born the daughter of Peter and Olga (Cesari) Valeri on Jan. 15, 1948, in Kenosha.
On Nov. 8, 1969, she was united in marriage to John Stansbury. They were blessed with two children, Joseph and Julie Ann.
Angela had been the deli manager at County Market, a manager at Taco John's in Hudson and Pizza Hut in Hudson, the owner of Making Waves beauty salon in Amery and a real estate agent in the Amery/Clayton area.
After retiring, she and John enjoyed traveling throughout the southern United States in their motor home. Angela was an avid gardener of flowers and produce, which she canned. She loved to bake and was known for her Italian foods.
Angela will remain in the hearts of her husband of 39 years, John; son, Joseph Stansbury of New Richmond; grandchildren, Tyler Huston and Lainie Ann Porter-Stansbury; brother, Peter (Nancy) Valeri; sister, Antoinette Stout; sister-in-law, Pat Valeri; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann Stansbury; parents; brother, Clyde Valeri; and sister, Lillian Valeri.
A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson.
Interment followed in the St. Patrick's Parish Cemetery.
Visitation was for one hour prior to the service at church and also on Sunday, Dec. 28, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, Hudson.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
