Art show June 7; free fishing June 6 and 7
An art and craft show is scheduled June 7 at Willow River State Park, 1034 County A. Free fishing runs both days.
Park admission is free for the Sunday art fair only in conjunction with a state park open house throughout Wisconsin.
The eighth annual Art Along the Willow, featuring arts and crafts by over 50 artists, is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, June 7.
Also featured are a children's area sponsored by The Phipps Center and the public library, along with mini train rides with "Engineer Don" and displays by the county historical society.
The first weekend in June, this year June 6 and 7, is designated as Free Fishing Weekend throughout the state. All waters are open, including state waters of the Great Lakes and rivers bordering Wisconsin. Residents and non-residents of all ages can fish without a fishing license (or trout or salmon stamps), but all other regulations apply (go to http://dnr.wi.gov/fish/regulations).
