Badgers expect to see a different defense on Saturday

The University of Wisconsin football team says it's not taking Cal Poly lightly, as they prepare for their regular season finale on Saturday in Madison.

Fullback Bill Rentmeester says the Badgers will see a different type of defense from the Mustangs -- a 3-4 flex defense with multiple fronts and blitzing schemes.

When he reviewed the film, Rentmeester said two blitzers would often fill a gap that's thought to be wide open and he said the Badger blockers would have to be at their best.

Cal Poly is ranked third in the former Division 1AA at 8-1 and its offense leads the Football Championship Subdivision with 46 points and 494 yards per game.

The Mustangs also rank eighth nationally against the run, giving up just 87 rushing yards per game.

Wisconsin is 6-and-5 and a win would most likely send them to the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., on New Year's Eve.
