A Baldwin man with Hudson connections was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday in the town of Springfield.
St. Croix County Sheriff Dennis Hillstead said Joseph J. Anderson, 34, died when he was ejected from a 1999 GMC pickup at 8:36 a.m.
The accident occurred on 100th Avenue about one-half mile east of Hwy. 128. Anderson's truck left the roadway, rolled and struck some trees. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the sheriff said.
Among his survivors are his parents-in-law, Calvin and Bev Burton, and brothers-in-law, Kendall and Brad Burton, all of Hudson. Anderson's wife is the former Kathy Burton. A complete obituary appears on page 4C of this week's Star-Observer print edition, and online under "Obituaries".
Anderson's death marked the 11th traffic fatality this year on county roadways, equaling the 2008 total.
