Bike auction is Saturday
The Hudson and North Hudson police departments will hold their annual bike auction on Saturday, July 11, beginning at 9 a.m. at the department's impound lot, 1421 Second St.
There are 40 unclaimed bikes that have been found or abandoned around the city during the past year. The police attempt to match the recovered bikes with any lost or stolen bike reports. However, anyone who has lost a bike can come to the impound lot at 5 p.m. on Friday to see if it is among those set for auction.
Money from the auction is used to purchase equipment for the departments.
