Bird Club celebrates first year, will have booth at Farm Tech Days
River Falls Wisconsin 2815 Prairie Drive / P.O. Box 25 54022

The St. Croix Valley Bird Club celebrates its first anniversary this month. In the first year, the SCVBC hosted five programs that were open to the public, and had five birding walks for members.

The SCVBC is working with the city of River Falls to have it designated as a "Bird City" and will have a booth at the youth tent at Farm Tech Days in July, where you can test your backyard bird identification skills and have a chance to win a birding kit.

Birders from beginner to expert are encouraged to join the club. Dues are $10 per year per family, and along with donations, are our only means of funding for speakers.

If you would like to join, or for more information, please contact Ed Heit at edheit@iglide.net, 425-8017, or Jim Beix at jbeix@dishup.us, 425-6981.
