Book has Hudson murder ties
A St. Paul writer, Rob Hahn, has published a fiction book that is loosely tied to the 2002 murders of Hudson funeral home director Dan O'Connell and funeral home intern James Ellison. The book is titled "The Funeral Home Murders" and deals with the murders of characters named Dan O'Grady and Charles Illsmere.
Hahn spins his story through the eyes of a television reporter named Sean Kelly and claims to "expose a complicated path of deceit that touches the Catholic Church and local high school students."
Hahn is the founder and president of Hahn Publications, which publishes The Midwest Wine Connection and Minnesota Prep Sports newspapers. He has previously worked in television and radio, including stints at WCCO-AM and WGN-AM. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. This is his first novel.
The book is published by North Star Press, a self-publishing firm from St. Cloud, Minn. It is on sale locally at Back to Books, 520 Second St. For more information, visit www.robhahnbooks. com.
