Booster Days set this weekend

The Booster Days carnival provide by Earl's Rides of Larsen, Wis., has been moved to the bathhouse parking lot this year because of the soft turf in Lakefront Park. Hudson has gotten a lot of rain in the past two weeks.2 / 2

Hudson Booster Days are scheduled this week beginning Wednesday, July 3 and continuing through Sunday, July 7.

Many events are scheduled including this year's fireworks display over the St. Croix River on July 6 beginning at dusk. The grand parade is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6. Live entertainment is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday.

Sponsored by the Hudson Boosters, proceeds from the celebration are used to support youth programs, including Booster baseball, softball, football, scholarships, Easter egg hunt and more.

"We invite everyone to enjoy the weekend activities," said Booster President Tom Smith. "We have many events for all ages."

Wednesday, July 3

carnival (4-9 p.m. - reduced ride specials)

4 p.m.-midnight: Three food stands - complete meals

4 p.m.-1 a.m. Beer Garden

6-10 p.m. Bingo, next to the band shell

Thursday, July 4

1-6 p.m. Bean Bag Tournament - in the beer garden (Registration at 12:30 p.m., $15 per person, double-elimination)

1-10 p.m. Bingo - next to the band shell

6-8:15 p.m. Live Entertainment "Kingsview"

9 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Live Entertainment "Caleb Hawley." Sponsored by Family Fresh Market
