Earlier in the week the Raiders dropped a 75-65 decision at third-ranked Rice Lake while they came out on the short end of a 73-62 score at Stillwater this past Monday.

Hudson had one more road game, this past Tuesday at Chippewa Falls, before playing its first home game in nearly a month this Friday at 7:15 p.m. against River Falls.

Last Friday at Eau Claire Memorial, Matt Sparstad hit a three-pointer in the final minute to lift the Raiders to a 58-57 victory over the Old Abes.

Hudson hit ten three-pointers in the victory -- four by Reid Schwechler and three each by Sparstad and Jake Giordana.

Schwechler hit a three-pointer with 1:27 remaining to tie the score, 55-55, and after an Old Abes basket to take the lead Sparstad drilled the game-winning basket in the closing seconds.

Giordana led the Raiders with 19 points, including all 12 of Hudson’s points in the first quarter. Sparstad finished with 15 and Schwechler scored 13 while Alex Herink contributed nine and Jake Neiderhauser had two.

Three nights earlier at Rice Lake, Herink scored a game-high 25 points and Giordana scored 19 but the Warriors hit their free throws down the stretch and held on for a 75-65 victory.

Schwechler gave Hudson three players in double figures with 11 points, including three three-pointers, while Sparstad had five points, Neiderhauser scored four and Briggam Knott added a free throw.

This past Monday at Stillwater, in a makeup of a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4, Herink led all scorers with 26 points and Giordana finished with 16 but Stillwater outscored Hudson 46-37 in the second half to earn the nine-point victory.

The Raiders are now 6-6 overall, 2-2 in BRC play heading into Friday’s matchup with River Falls (4-5, 1-2).
