The Milwaukee Brewers jumped out of last place in the National League Central after beating the Pirates in Pittsburgh last night, 7-2.

Manny Parra got his first win in eight starts, while the Brewer offense pounded out 14 hits.

All cylinders were clicking for the first time in a long time, as Milwaukee ended a five-game losing streak.

The Brewers had a shut-out going until the ninth, when Jason Bay hit a two-run homer off closer Eric Gagne.
