Burger Battle back for second year
Seven participating Hudson area restaurants will be competing for the best burger in town during the second annual Hudson Area Burger Battle. The public will judge the participating restaurants and proceeds will benefit Hudson BRIDGE for Youth with Disabilities.
Customers may purchase judging cards for $25 and eat at each competing restaurant during their regular lunch or dinner hours any day between and Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. Judges will receive one of the business' featured burgers.
After participants have tried all seven featured burgers they will vote on line for the best burger. There are seven competing restaurants this year, compared to six last year, but the cost to participate remains at $25.
Cards will be available for purchase beginning Oct. 15 at each of the competing restaurants. The 2012 competitors include The Village Inn and Seasons Tavern in North Hudson, Dick's Bar and Grill, Agave Kitchen, Uncle Mike's M Pour E Yum, Kaladi's, and the newcomer this year is the Willow River Inn.
Cards can also be obtained by calling the Burger Battle Hot line at (715) 338-8870 or go to the Hudson BRIDGE for Youth and Adults with Disabilities, YWD, website (www.BridgeYWD@sbcglobal.net) for more information.
The best burger will be announced in early January. Thanks to the donations from the competitors, 100 percent of the proceeds will support BRIDGE.
