Century recognizes Kavitz

Co-op cash to members

Consolidated Energy Cooperative and its members have received over $452,000 from CHS Inc., part of a record cash return based on the leading energy and grain-based foods company's fiscal 2007 earnings. In February, CHS returned $298 million in cash patronage, equity redemptions and preferred stock to eligible member cooperatives and producers in 48 states. In total, CHS made distributions to 1,300 member cooperatives and 40,000 individuals. Patronage is based on business done with CHS during fiscal 2007, while equity redemptions and preferred stock represent retirement of ownership in CHS earned in past years.

Olson, Foster are honored

Century 21 Premier Group announced that Jenny Olson & Associates has earned the Centurion Award for the team's production in 2007. The mother-daughter real estate team of Jenny Olson and Laura Foster has earned its 23rd consecutive Centurion Award for sales achievements. Jenny is also a Charter Member and recipient of the Centurion Honor Society Award recognizing consistent and exceptional performance. Pasche joins firm's staff

The Dry Dock announced the addition of Matt Pasche to the firm's sales staff. Pasche comes to the Dry Dock with years of experience in both the Marine and Outdoor Power Equipment industries. He previously held sales and management positions with Northern Tool & Equipment and Gander Mountain. He most recently worked for Link Recreation. Pasche, his wife and two children have lived in Hudson for four years. The Dry Dock, 587 Lenertz Road, is a boat and outdoor power equipment company owned by Mick Howland. Edina agents earn awards

Edina Realty announced that several Hudson agents have been named members of Edina Realty's Chairman's, Master's, President's or Leadership circles. They have reached outstanding levels of sales performance and customer service in 2007. Weigel at gem show

Local jewelry designer Christine Weigel returned from one of the largest bead and gem shows in the United States, held in Tucson, Ariz. She brought back stones, beads and other materials from all over the world. Weigel owns Christine's Jewelry in Hudson which designs and creates customized jewelry with input from the customer. She also offers in-home shows where women can co-create their pieces of jewelry and earn free jewelry at the same time. Loan workshop set

A one-hour workshop has been set for Thursday, March 20, at 7:30 a.m. at Hudson City Hall, 505 Third St., to discuss small business loans through a new fund in west central Wisconsin. Char Gurney, a business development specialist with the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission in Eau Claire, will present information on loan programs through the Regional Business Fund Inc. One loan fund is for micro loans of up to $25,000 for small businesses, including start-up businesses. A second fund is for zero-interest facade loans, limited to businesses within the downtown boundaries established by the Hudson City Council.

In mid-2005, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce designated west central Wisconsin for a pilot program that involved the voluntary consolidation of community loan funds. The fund is administered by the nonprofit Regional Business Fund Inc. organized by the regional planning commission several years ago. Finch joins St. Paul bank

U.S. Bank has hired Hudsonite Anne Finch as senior vice president in its technology and operational services division in St. Paul. In this position, she leads the unit's project management office, which is responsible for ensuring the quality delivery of technology-related projects for U.S. Bank and its customers.
