They will be performing in the Lakefront Park band shell at 7 p.m. tonight.

Hawley, a 2003 Hudson High School graduate, and his wife Samantha (O'Keefe) Hawley, also a HHS graduate, make their home in New York City. Since graduation from Berklee School of Music in 2007, Hawley has been working nonstop building a career as a singer/song writer/ musician, with more than 150 show dates a year, from coffee houses, to clubs to music festivals.

Joining Hawley on this tour are Pat Firth, on keys, Brian Killeen on bass and Theo Katzman on drums. They are all from New York and frequently play with Hawley on the East Coast. This is first time they have toured with him.

"They all sing as well," said Hawley, who earned a spot on the main stage at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in Lyon, Colo., this year by winning a contest last year. He will perform there on Aug. 17. He has attended that festival every year since he was 11. There were 600 entries and 10 finalists. Hawley earned first place and has been submitting his music to the contest since he was 15.

"The whole last year I have focused on a new record which I hope will be out late this year or early next year," said Hawley who was an "American Idol" contestant during Season 10. "It will be less acoustic and more old school orientated." Hawley, who did not cut any corners, composed all of the music and has been saving to make the new record a reality.

"I've been using Kickstarter to help fund the remaining costs of my soon-to-be new record," said Hawley. "Kickstarter is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects, providing a way for independent artists such as myself to do what we do. As of today, I'm 92 percent of the way to fulfilling my goal, which is $10,000." To learn more or contribute, go to www.kickstarter.com/projects/1698122545/caleb-hawley-you-4th-studio-album
