Cancer survivors honored with dinner May 2
All cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to this year's Relay For Life Survivors' Dinner May 2 at Bethel Highlands.
The annual event is a time to celebrate survivorship with those who share a common experience. This year's theme is "One Moment at a Time."
According to event chairman and cancer survivor Terri Wilcox, the theme is especially meaningful to the survivor's journey and also to this year's celebration of the 100th anniversary of the American Cancer Society.
The evening begins with registration and a social beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and a short program follow at 6 p.m. The program will include music by Joe Loftus and a readers theater. The emcee for the event is Michael Yell, Hudson teacher, cancer survivor and the 2011 honorary co-chairman of the Hudson Relay for Life.
The Hudson Relay For Life is June 21-22 at the Hudson Middle School. For more information about participation contact Kellie Burrows at (612) 227-8135.
Bethel Highlands is located at 504 Frontage Road in Hudson.
Those wanting to attend must RSVP by sending an email to Survivors or by calling (715) 386-3790 and leave your name, number attending, and an address for our mailing list so they can be invited next year.
