Charges have been dismissed against a Minneapolis man accused of assaulting a taxi-cab driver in Baldwin Nov. 23.

Judge Scott R. Needham dismissed one felony count of reckless endangerment against Corduroy Dwayne Little, 22, Dec. 1 during a bail/bond hearing.

Little was charged after a Blue-and-White cab he was riding in crashed into a dumpster and a parked car at Greenfield Elementary School in Baldwin at about 6:40 p.m. The cab driver, Abdu Mohammed Asker, 29, suffered slash wounds on his neck and internal injuries. He was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, the criminal complaint said.

Little claimed the cabbie pulled a knife on him after an argument over the fare from Minneapolis.

St. Croix County Sheriff Dennis Hillstead said late last week that Asker was in critical condition and unable to speak to investigators.

The charge was dismissed without prejudice and the case could be filed again in the future with additional information.
