Charges pending in St. Croix Heights shooting

It has been almost nine weeks since a Hudson father, armed with a gun, was shot by police outside of his St. Croix Heights home.

According to Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen, Daniel Craig Christenson, 43, has been released from the hospital but is still recovering from injuries at his mother's home in the Twin Cities.

Jensen said that his department is keeping tabs on Christenson and said he has not been arrested because he still requires regular medical care. "He's not going anywhere in the shape he is in. We're monitoring him."

The investigation into the case has been completed by the department and has been referred to the St. Croix County District Attorney's office for charges. Jensen added that Christenson has hired an attorney.
