Chief deputy Kristi Severson will be St. Croix County clerk of court
Kristi Severson has been appointed by St. Croix County judges to assume of the duties of Clerk of Court effective Aug. 1.
Severson is currently the chief deputy to Clerk of Court Lori Meyer. Meyer recently resigned to take a similar position in Anoka County, Minn. The judges indicated that Severson will serve as clerk until the vacancy can be filled in the next election cycle.
Judges Eric Lundell, Edward Vlack, Scott Needham and Howard Cameron praised Meyer for her more than 20 years of service to the county, calling her a “valuable resource and leader in the administration of the judicial system in St. Croix County.”
