Coldest summer in 17 years keeps severe weather away; a little hail Sunday
It's the coldest summer in 17 years in parts of Wisconsin - and the National Weather Service says we're going through an El Nino-type weather pattern.
The average temperature this summer in La Crosse was just 68 degrees through the end of July. That's four degrees cooler than normal.
It has also reduced the number of thunderstorms we've had, even though parts of Wisconsin had some boomers overnight.
