Columbus ships to visit Hudson
Replicas of the Nina and Pinta, two of three ships Christopher Columbus sailed on his first voyage to the New World, will dock in Hudson Friday, Aug. 6. They will be available for walk aboard tours while in Hudson from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 seniors and $5 for students.
The Nina was handmade and is reputed to be historically correct Columbus replica The Pinta was recently built in Brazil and accompanies the Nina on her travels as a sailing museum. The Nina last visited Hudson in the summer of 2005.
The ships will leave their mooring at 90 Walnut St. early Aug. 16.
