Amanda Richter of New Richmond competed in the Gymkhana events Sept. 7 and brought home one grand championship, three reserve grand championships and two Top 10 ribbons for her events.

"This is the first year, to my knowledge, that St. Croix County was represented at this show. We are so proud of Amanda and her horse, Misty," said county Horse Project Chairman Sandy Bollom.

Participants competing in the pleasure events Sept. 11-14 were Kaila Fouks of Hudson, Jessica Kopp of Hammond and Kalani Killin of New Richmond, who all brought home a top 10 ribbon.

Othe participants were Colleen Wendt, Katelyn Bonte and Hannah Elhorn of Hammond.

Over 700 youths participated and, to qualify, had to receive a blue ribbon at the county level first.

The St. Croix County Youth Horse Project is a non-profit organization open to youth in grades 3-13 who are also active members of an organized youth program such as 4-H, YMCA, Boy/Girl Scouts and FFA. For more information, contact Sandy Bollom at (715) 688-9055 or sandy@bollom.us.
