Demaio recognized for pro bono work
Wisconsin Judicare is celebrating the First Annual National Pro Bono week and recognized the efforts of some of its participating attorneys. Among those recognized was Hudson Attorney Daniel Demaio.
The celebration is a coordinated effort to demonstrate the important difference that lawyers' pro bono activities make to the country, the justice system and the individuals whose lives are made better by these efforts.
Wisconsin Judicare relies on local attorney volunteers to provide civil legal services to the low income in Wisconsin's northern 33 counties and 11 federally recognized Indian tribes. Attorneys who volunteer with Wisconsin Judicare provide the resources and the expert advice that help clients remain in their homes, escape abusive family situations, resolve legal issues blocking the road to self-sufficiency and obtain the resources that allow them to live with dignity.
