The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources admits it is losing the battle against chronic wasting disease.

The latest report says the infected areas are likely growing.

The state has tried several strategies over the last six years. None have worked.

Now, the support for the state's approach among politicians and hunters is dropping off.

The Natural Resources Board is to consider some new ideas in January.

With Democrats taking over the Wisconsin legislature, limits on deer feeding may be passed. Republicans had killed such ideas in the past.
