Doyle meets with Midwestern governors about clean energy
Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle is one of 11 Midwestern governors meeting in Detroit this week, working to make this part of the country a center for clean energy development.
Doyle admits the states compete with each other for jobs, but he says they also compete as a group with other regions of the country.
It's a Jobs and Energy Forum wrapping up today in Michigan's largest city.
Governors are working on ways to leverage the region's natural resources, manufacturing expertise and skilled workforce to develop an economy centered on wind energy, solar energy and other renewable sources for power.
