Doyle will lead September business trip to Japan and China
Gov. Jim Doyle will lead Wisconsin business people on a 10-day trade mission to Japan and China in September.
The group plans to meet with distributors and potential customers in those two nations along with top government and business leaders.
Doyle also wants to encourage Japanese and Chinese firms to invest in Wisconsin.
China was the state's third-largest trading partner last year.
Wisconsin firms exported $1.2 billion of products there, more than 4 percent more than in 2007.
Japan was the state's fifth-largest customer, with exports of $724 million last year. That was up almost 11 percent from the previous year.
