Former Badgers get tryouts with Bucks

Thursday was Wisconsin Day at the Milwaukee Bucks' pre-draft workouts.

The Bucks auditioned Badger graduates Jared Berggren and Mike Bruesewitz. The 6-10 Berggren has now worked out for five NBA teams in advance of the June 27 draft. He has three more teams to visit during the next week.

Bruesewitz had his first NBA team workout. He said he felt totally healthy after a severe right leg injury just before last season.

Bucks scouting director Billy McKinney says Berggren might be taken in the second round. McKinney said Badger players often need to make a big adjustment to the faster pro game, after playing under Bo Ryan's deliberate and effective style in Madison.

UW-Milwaukee senior guard Paris Gulley also auditioned with the Bucks yesterday, along with Farmingdale State forward A.J. Matthews, Santa Clara guard Kevin Foster and Colorado forward Andre Roberson.
