Police in Eau Claire are still investigating an apparent accidental drowning that killed a 15-year-old boy over the weekend.

Police said 15-year-old Divontae Swearegene, 15, Eau Claire, was wading to shore with a group of young people on the Chippewa River when he slipped and went under.
Investigators said there were slippery rocks in that spot, along with a strong current.
Rescuers searched for about an hour before finding Divontae.
He died later at a hospital. The incident occurred on Saturday.
Police do not believe foul play, drugs, or alcohol was involved.
