The NETworks board selected Krizek, a Hudson native, to replace former director Dave Pulsfus, who recently married and moved to Springfield, Ill.

Krizek is a graduate of Northwestern College in Roseville, Minn., where he earned a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations and biblical studies.

While at Northwestern, he was a staff writer, photographer and assistant photo editor for the student newspaper. He also was the college choir president for 2006-07.

The son of John and Christina Krizek of Hudson, Krizek graduated from Hudson High School in 2004.

He was active in NETworks as a high school student. From 2002 to 2004, he was a student leader on Mishpack trips, the ministry's annual summer missions and backpacking adventures.

Krizek is an Eagle Scout and was recently selected to be a North Face delegate to the Outdoor Nation Youth Summit in New York City.

He was employed by The North Face, an outdoors apparel and gear retailer, before coming to NETworks.

His personal interests include biking, climbing, hiking, photography, movie-making, lighting and sound design, reading, ultimate Frisbee, softball, football, volunteering as a bicycle mechanic and working with local youth groups.

He's getting married to Kayla Erickson at First Baptist Church of Hudson on Saturday. Erickson is a music teacher at PACT Charter School in Ramsey, Minn. She and Krizek met while students at Northwestern College.

NETworks hosted a meet-and-greet reception for Krizek from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist's Crossing Point building at the corner of Third and Vine streets.

The NETworks senior high group meets at the Crossing Point on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. during the school year. The group is open to youth of any or no church background.

The middle high group meets on Wednesdays from 3 to 4:45 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal, 502 County UU. The group is for students in grades 6-8.

NETworks sponsors a variety of special events and trips.
