From 6-8 p.m. students will serve soup in a handmade ceramic bowl that diners can take with them. There will also be live music by local performers. Free will donations will go to help supply local food shelves.

According to organizers, the goal of the dinner is to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity in the community, to raise money to help local organizations fight hunger and to help bring about an attitude that will not allow hunger to exist.

The Hudson High School Social Justice Leagues mission is to work on social justice issues locally and in neighboring communities as well as to promote awareness about social justice issues around the world.

The event is presented in conjunction with Youth Action Hudson, The Phipps Center and local businesses. The event is open to the public.
