Eric Lundell to seek another term as St. Croix County judge
Judge Eric Lundell announced this week that he is once again running for re-election for Branch 1 Circuit Court judge in St. Croix County on April 1, 2014.
This marks the 14th time that Judge Lundell has run for election or re-election in St. Croix County. He was elected twice to the City Council in New Richmond, ran for district attorney in St. Croix County seven times, and has now run for election or re-election for circuit judge in St. Croix County five times.
Judge Lundell now serves as the presiding judge for St. Croix County, having been appointed to that position by Chief Judge Scott Needham several years ago. He also serves as the chairman for the newly created Community Justice Coordinating Council.
Judge Lundell is married to Laurel Nelson-Lundell and lives in the town of Hudson. He has a stepson, Chris Boumeester, of Hudson, and two children, Emily Fett of Lakeland, Minn., and Eric Lundell Jr. of New Richmond. He also has two grandchildren, Jordan and Riley Fett.
Judge Lundell enjoys his status as the senior judge and resident historian. He has now served St. Croix County residents since 1974. He has no plans for retirement anytime in the future.
“As long as I continue to enjoy working as judge for the residents of this county, I plan on staying in the position,” Lundell said.
