Feds sentence Somerset man
A Somerset man has been sentenced in U.S. District Court in an interstate stolen tractor case.
Chad Allen Wyttenbach, 36, was sentenced Aug. 31 to six months in federal prison for transporting stolen tractors between Minnesota and Wisconsin, interstate sale of stolen vehicles and transportation of stolen goods, possession of stolen goods and motor vehicles.
Wyttenbach pleaded guilty to the charges Feb. 17 before U.S. Judge William M. Conley in Madison.
He was originally indicted in July 2010 with Eric Edward Garvey, 40, White Bear Lake, Minn., and Victor Ernest Trejo, 51, Prescott, on 10 counts related to the stolen vehicle incidents including conspiracy. Trejo pleaded guilty on Jan. 28, Garvey was convicted July 14 in a three-day trial.
The charges against Wyttenbach resulted from an investigation conducted by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department and other county agencies in the area including Ramsey (Minn.) county.
