Former Badger Anderson signs with French team
As expected, former University of Wisconsin guard Jolene Anderson has hooked up with a pro basketball team in France.
She first talked about the possibility after being cut from the WNBA's Connecticut Sun in August. Now, she's with Villeneuve d'Ascq in a league in northern France.
Anderson was the leading scorer in Wisconsin women's basketball history before she graduated last spring.
The Sun drafted her with the 23rd overall pick and she averaged four points in 24 games before she was cut.
In France, Anderson scored 23 points in one early contest. She had six points and five rebounds in a tournament game last weekend.
