Former coach jailed on probation violation
A former Glenwood City High School boys basketball coach has been sentenced to jail for violating the terms of his probation.
Russell Fredrick Booth, 60, was sentenced last Wednesday to six months in jail on a trespassing conviction and 90 days on a disorderly conduct conviction. He was granted Huber release for treatment and employment and ordered to pay $555 restitution.
Court records said Booth violated probation when he left a phone message for Jessica Quinn on May 23.
On July 2, 2007, Booth was convicted of trespassing and disorderly conduct for entering Quinn's home without permission.
Court records said Quinn had filed for a restraining order against Booth before the trespassing incident, claiming he had behaved inappropriately with her while she was a student at Glenwood City High School.
She filed civil actions in 2002 and 2007 asking for a temporary restraining order on Booth.
