Former Kinni man convicted in child porn case

A former town of Kinnickinnic man pleaded guilty to felony possession of child pornography and child sexual assault charges last Friday.

Craig F. Ahlman, 42, currently living in Minnetonka, Minn., entered a deferred judgment agreement Dec. 11 on first-degree child sex assault charge. Judge Eric J. Lundell ordered a pre-sentence investigation on the possession of child pornography charge and will set a sentencing hearing when the results are complete.

One count of child sex assault and two counts of possession of child pornography were dismissed.

The criminal complaint said Ahlman inappropriately touched a juvenile girl on two occasions in 2008 around Thanksgiving and before Christmas when she was staying at his residence.

A search warrant was issued and a forensic examination of Ahlman's computer in a basement office revealed files containing child pornography, the complaint said.

Ahlman and his wife operated a wedding photography business out of their residence at 525 90th Street and had separate offices.
