Fox Point swimmer fails to make 50-meter finals in Beijing
At the Olympics, Garrett Weber-Gale of Fox Point failed to make the finals of the 50-meter freestyle in swimming.
He placed sixth in his semi-final Thursday night, with a time of 22.08 seconds. It was the second time Weber-Gale lost in the semis of an individual event, after winning a team gold medal in the 400-freestyle relay.
He also lost in the semis of the 100-freestyle. Weber-Gale has one more shot at a medal - the 400-medley relay.
Three Wisconsinites were scheduled to be in action this morning in Beijing.
