Frederick Titmarsh, 81, of Hudson, formerly of Roberts, and prior to that, England, died suddenly Wednesday, June 25, at his residence.
Frederick was born on June 8, 1927, in Landsworth, England, the son of Frederick and Florence (Webb) Titmarsh. He was raised in Landsworth where he attended school.
On March 19, 1960, he was united in marriage to Hilda Vinnicombe in Middlesex, England, where they were the owners of The Bell and The Old Oak Tree Bar/Pub.
They moved to Hudson when Frederick began a dedicated career with Nor-Lake of Hudson. He worked 20 years as a refrigeration mechanic. Outside of work, his pastime was spending a day on the golf course when he had the time. He enjoyed the beauty of Hudson, Badlands and the Clifton Hollow golf courses.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Hilda; son, Jeff Titmarsh of Roberts; sister, Rene (Brian) Walton of England; sisters/brother-in-laws, Yvonne Hedin of Hudson, Jeanne (Harry) Mitchel of England; as well as his nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Florence (Webb) Titmarsh; brother, Ernie (Irene) Titmarsh; and brother-in-law, Roger Hedin.
To respect Frederick's wishes, a private celebration of life was held at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson followed by cremation services at Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
Memorials are preferred.
