A crew from Q3 Contracting is working to install new Xcel Energy natural gas lines along Sixth Street N. in North Hudson.

Q3 foreman Ryan Wohlk said a gas line currently beneath the Sixth Street/Hwy. 35 pavement is being replaced with new lines on both sides of the right-of-way to prepare for a future resurfacing project. The project area is from Wisconsin Street N. to Sommers Street N.

Wohlk said the company has been instructed to have the gas lines installed past Michaelson Street N. before Pepper Fest is celebrated Aug. 15-17.
